Even the most mundane tasks are a part of our life. Literally: we spend time of our lives on various activities, which we sometimes don't even notice and, as a result, forget about within a few hours.
For example, what did you do at work today? No, you didn't just "work": you developed something, or wrote, perhaps moved some heavy objects, or fixed something, or talked to someone. By the end of the day, you sometimes can’t remember what you were doing, if you even feel like recalling at all. What about walking the dog? Today you did that twice and spent an hour and a half of your life that no one will return.
No, I'm not saying you should give your dog up for adoption — put Fluffy down! Nor do you need to quit your nine-to-five job to become a rock star: it probably wouldn’t work out anyway (sorry 🥹). Besides, your job isn't that bad, and surely something interesting happens there from time to time. Remember...
That’s why I made a task journal. In the evening, I want to remember what I did that day, and at the end of the week — what I did over the last seven days. Where did the time of my life go? Am I satisfied with how I spent it, what made me better, what hindered me, what could have been done faster?
And then I added a bunch of emojis. That's the story.

You surely have a ready-made database in Notion. Otherwise, why would you need Notion at all?
Do you mark the dates of completed tasks? If not, add a Date property.
When a task is completed, record the date and time so that the tasks are organized in sequence. I recommend creating a button that, when pressed, sets the current date and time to avoid having to fill it in manually.
Then create the following Formula properties in it. The formulas are indicated in the spoilers.
Please note: these formulas are designed assuming the Date property is named "Date." If you want to rename the date property, you will need to update the formulas with the new name.
I’ve added a touch of fantasy to our mundane routine by renaming the days of the week and months with whimsical titles. Imagine this: on a dusky evening, on the third of Methild in the month of Ravavalur, you find yourself… scooping the cat’s litter box. Truly, a fantasy adventure for the ages!
Here are the formulas:
I also recommend creating a text property to provide brief (or detailed) notes on completed tasks.
Create a separate table view of your database or a separate tab for the journal. Set up the necessary properties.
Now you have a task journal! Just remember to keep filling in the dates.
